Privacy Policy

1. Our approach

Mimo Island is designed to make everyday desktop tools easier to use, not to collect more data. We do not sell personal information. We only handle information needed to provide the features you choose, manage subscriptions, or meet legal obligations.

2. Information handled on your device

To provide its features, the app may store content you create or choose to keep locally on your Mac, including notes, teleprompter scripts, clipboard history, tasks, preferences, and temporary file information. This content is used by the app itself. You can remove it in the app or use its clear-local-data controls.

3. System permissions you grant

Microphone and speech recognition

The app requests microphone and speech-recognition access only when you turn on Voice Follow in the teleprompter. Those capabilities align the script with your spoken words. You can revoke access at any time in macOS System Settings.

Music automation

When you use the music module, the app may request the playback information and controls needed to work with Apple Music or Spotify. It does not use that permission to read unrelated content.

Clipboard, files, and reminders

The clipboard feature can read and store items you choose to retain locally. File features handle files you select, drop, or ask the app to process. Reminders access is only used for reminders you explicitly create or manage. You can manage each permission in macOS System Settings.

4. Third-party services

When you actively use the following features, the relevant service provider may handle information needed to complete your request under its own privacy policy:

• Apple for app distribution, purchases, subscription management, and certain system capabilities.
• RevenueCat for subscription status and purchase entitlement management. It may process an app user identifier and purchase information associated with your subscription status.
• Translation and AI service providers when you actively request translation or AI features. The relevant text is sent to the provider to complete that request.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information to these optional services unless you have confirmed that their data practices are appropriate for your use.

5. This website

This is a static information site. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, may process standard network log data such as IP address, request time, and browser information to operate and protect the site.

6. Sharing, retention, and deletion

Other than the providers described above, actions you request, or legal requirements, we do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties. Local content generally remains until you remove it in the app, clear local data, or uninstall the app. Subscription records are retained under the applicable Apple and RevenueCat policies.

7. Updates and contact
